Karimnagar(Telangana): Tragedy struck in Rajanna Sircilla district as an 82-year-old woman was killed by a pack of stray dogs late Wednesday night. The incident occurred at her hut in the Sevalal Thanda locality of Mustabad mandal.
According to police, the elderly woman, who had been bedridden for a long time, was asleep when the dogs attacked. Superintendent of Police Akhil Mahajan confirmed that the dogs entered the hut, assaulted her, and consumed parts of her body before fleeing.
The woman’s family discovered her body on Thursday morning and reported the incident to the police. A case of suspicious death has been registered under section 194 of the BNS, and an investigation is ongoing.
Local residents have expressed their concern over the rising menace of stray dogs and have urged authorities to take immediate action to control the stray dog population and prevent such incidents in the future.
