Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Kicks Off US Tour Promoting New Hyderabad Vision

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy began his United States tour with a strong appeal to the Telangana and Telugu community in the US to invest in the state's promising future. Speaking at a program organized by the Indian Overseas Congress in New Jersey, Reddy emphasized the government's commitment to fostering an investment-friendly environment aimed at boosting the economy and creating employment opportunities.

"I desire to create the fourth city in Hyderabad, and the government will bring a new industrial policy to achieve rapid, inclusive economic growth considering future needs. I urge expatriates to invest and give back to the land they hail from," he stated.

Special Systems for Investment

Touching an emotional chord, Reddy said, "Telangana is your birthplace, and every investment you make in your state will surely reap benefits. Apart from the core urban, semi-urban, and rural clusters in Telangana, special systems are being created for investments. Be partners in the region's development as you have already established yourselves in the USA. The satisfaction of developing your birthplace is beyond any satisfaction."

The Chief Minister spoke at a well-attended event in his honor, where he received a warm welcome from the Telugu community, including a large rally.

Fourth City in Telangana

Reddy highlighted the development of a new city, envisioned as the fourth city alongside Hyderabad, Secunderabad, and Cyberabad. He promised a top-class city with a world-class master plan and called for investments from the Indian community to support Hyderabad's development.

Congress Confidence and Development Plans

Reminiscing about his previous visit to the USA as the president of Telangana Congress, Reddy remarked on the confidence the Telugu community had in Congress's return to power. "I promised I would come back only after the Congress government came to power after decades of misrule and vandalism. I have kept my word," he said to enthusiastic applause.

Reddy addressed malicious propaganda before the State Assembly Election-2023, noting that the opposition doubted Congress's ability to gain and maintain power. "Now, they are trying to create myths that the state's development has suffered. We have already given them an appropriate response with our governance and will continue to prove them wrong, aiming to develop Hyderabad as a leading city not only in India but worldwide," he asserted.

Government Promises and Welfare Programs

Assuring the public that the government would fulfill all promises, Reddy highlighted several initiatives for farmers, women, and youth. These include a Rs. 2 lakh loan waiver for farmers, input subsidy assurance, jobs for the unemployed, free bus travel for women, Rs. 500 cooking gas cylinders, 200 units of free home electricity for the poor, promotions for teachers, and quality education for students.

Participants praised Reddy's efforts to attract investors and his vision for Hyderabad. Mohinder Singh Giljian, president of the Overseas Congress, welcomed the Chief Minister and expressed satisfaction in seeing Reddy as the Chief Minister, while expressing hopes for Rahul Gandhi to become the Prime Minister of India. Prominent members of the Telugu community also met Reddy at his brother's residence in New Jersey.
